Kids’ Sale

From the beginning, we organized the sale to give consignors an opportunity to recycle gently used children’s clothing, toys, and equipment while benefiting the Highland Presbyterian Nursery and Weekday School. We are still committed to that mission. And we need your help! So if you have quality, gently used children’s clothing, toys, and equipment, please consider becoming a consignor.

Thursday, February 25, 2027:

• 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Volunteer and Consignor Pre-Sale
• 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Sale open to the general public

Friday, February 26, 2027: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, February 27, 2027 (Half Price Day for Most Items): 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.

• Regular Consignors: You may register as a regular consignor, which means you will print your own barcodes from our system, hang and tag your items yourself, and drop those items off for sale during the drop-off window below.
  • Within 30 days after the sale ends, consignors receive 70% of their sales, less the registration fee. The sale keeps 30% to cover expenses and to donate back to the Nursery and Weekday School program of Highland Pres.
  • Our registration fees are tiered by your sales total:
    • Under $20, there is no fee.
    • $20 – $50, the fee is $5
    • Above $50, the fee is $10.
• Donation-Only Consignors: If you wish to place your items in the Kids’ Sale entirely as a donation to Highland Presbyterian Weekday & Nursery School, you will simply need to drop off your clean/washed items between Monday, February 2 and Wednesday, February 4, 2026. They do not need tags or hangers. No registration is necessary. By participating this way, 100% of the proceeds will go to our scholarship fund, and you will not receive any unsold items back.

• Volunteer: Our sale happens only through many volunteer hours! We welcome volunteers from anywhere, and you do not need to be affiliated with the school or the church to volunteer. A link to sign-up for volunteer shifts will be posted in early 2027!

• New consignors, follow this link.
• Returning consignors, follow this link.

• Clothing: Children’s clothing, sizes newborn to 16 and Maternity Clothing and Items
• Non-Clothing Items: We accept books, toys, shoes, bedding, and more!
• All items must be clean, with no holes, stains, missing buttons, or missing parts, and in working order (if applicable).
• DUE TO LIMITED SPACE AND QUALITY CONSISTENCY, WE ASK THAT YOU BRING ONLY YOUR BEST ITEMS.
• We reserve the right to refuse those items that do not meet our standards.

• Clothing must be on hangers, hung with the hook pointing to the left.
• We do not have hangers for consignors to use
• Sets should be pinned securely together or pinned to the same hanger
• Place shoes, socks, accessories, etc. in a plastic storage bag with the tag taped to the exterior.
• Items that require batteries should include them-masking tape works best to hold the tag in place on these items

We use an Electronic Tagging System:

• Once registered, you can add your items and print your barcodes for tagging.

• ENTERING ITEMS: Click on the Work with Inventory Link. Choose the category, size, and description for each item. There is also a checkbox for whether or not you want to discount (for the 1/2 price on Saturday) or donate. We ask that if you are donating your items, you check the discount box. You can add or edit items as you go as needed. Once you have finished entering your items, go to print them. You can print all labels or only those you need. PLEASE USE WHITE CARD STOCK FOR PRINTING LABELS. Cut the labels and attach with a safety pin over the heart on the clothing (right side when facing the clothing item).

• The system will close for adding items at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2027 (when drop-off ends). There is no exception.

• We do not update sales totals or sold/unsold items DURING the sale. We will update sales numbers after the final sale has closed.

• All consignors may drop off their items any time during the hours listed below.

• • Regular Consignors: You will be responsible for placing your items on racks. If you plan to pick up unsold items at the end of the sale, you will need to leave a basket/bin with your name and consignor number at check-in. At the end of the sale, we will use your basket/bin to place your unsold items.

• Drop Off Times:

• • Tuesday, February 23, 2027: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. OR 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 24, 2027: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. OR 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • We do not accept drop-offs after 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2027.

While we strongly suggest donating your unsold items, if you wish to pick up all unsold items, they must be picked up between 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2027.

** Items not picked up by 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2027, will be donated to charities of our choice. **

We currently work with several groups to collect all unsold items. These groups include Kentucky Refugee Ministries, Portland Avenue Community Trust, Family Scholar House, and La Casita.

Do you know of a worthy nonprofit that could make use of these unsold items? Please email us the contact information at hpkidssale@gmail.com.
